While learning about EdCamps this week, I was incredibly intrigued because it was a completely new idea to me. Once I got home from class, I decided to do some more research on what EdCamp is, and how EdCamps events can be organized. I curated a list of resources that discuss or introduce this topic that I feel could be helpful for educators to have access to.

EdCamps: The New Professional Development – TeachHUB

This article is a good overview of what EdCamps are, as it really breaks down the EdCamp experience and what makes it special. I also found it helpful as it includes some resources of its own that can help the readers gain a better understanding.

What Is Edcamp? An Overview For Teachers (teachthought.com)

Teachthought.com has another good overview of what EdCamops are, but it also includes the background of these events which may give educators a deeper understanding of why we do them. It also includes the video that was provided to us this week which I found helpful so I wanted to make available on this site as well.

Resources for Organizing an Edcamp | Edutopia

This article by Edutopia is my favourite resource of the three. It is full of so many different resources that discuss this topic. It allows educators to access this article, and find resources that can answer any particular questions they may have. It includes link to other websites, youtube videos, as well as the link to the original EdCamp foundation!
