Over the last two weeks, I have been feeling really proud of the amount of progress I have achieved with my ukulele playing. I spent so long struggling and feeling like I wouldn’t get better at the ukulele because the song I chose was a little too advanced for me at this time. Although it is definitely disappointing that I had to switch my song, I know that it was best for me, which is being made very obvious through the amount of growth I have underwent since finding a new song. I am now able to play both of my songs, You Are My Sunshine, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the ukulele, as well as sing along while I strum. I am still continuing to practice playing the song seamlessly, as it does sometimes take me a minute to switch between chords. Before submitting my final video, I would like to work and make sure that I do not have to take pauses between chords during the songs. I have also been spending some time singing the ABC’s as it consists of the same chords as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, which has given me yet another child friendly song I can bring into the classroom.
