Over the last two weeks, I have been practicing my ukulele songs to try and perfect the transition between chords. Despite spending the time to practice, it isn’t as smooth of a transition as I wish it was, but I am overall really happy with a couple of things. I feel a lot of pride in the fact that I was successful in learning the chords for the songs, especially after I struggled so much with one of the songs I initially chose. I am also very proud of my ability to sing the lyrics of the songs while playing, as I was completely unable to do this with the song Dreams. Because I now have a basic understanding of how to play the ukulele and some chords, I do want to continue learning other songs that I can bring into a classroom. With my upcoming practicum being in a music class, I do feel very thankful that I was able to pick up a ukulele and learn the basics, even more so that I will be teaching a ukulele lesson in a few weeks to grade 4 students!

I wanted to include the resources I relied on over the course of this semester to help me learn my songs on the ukulele as they were so helpful and I wanted to highlight them!
